Biosphere-atmosphere interactions in a changing world
Dr. Sara Knox
Assistant Professor
Department of Geography
University of British Columbia
This inaugural Rouse Climate Lecture explores how land atmosphere exchanges of water, energy and greenhouse gas fluxes respond to a changing climate and disturbances, and how we can modify land management practices for climate change mitigation and adaptation. This lecture also discusses the recent FLUXNET-CH4 initiative, which was designed to compile a global, multi-ecosystem eddy covariance methane database to answer regional and global questions related to methane cycling.
