McMaster Carbon Sink Forest
The McMaster Centre for Climate Change in collaboration with Nature at McMaster, the Academic Sustainability Programs Office, and Trees for Hamilton, have worked together to create a Carbon Sink Forest. This forest sequesters carbon through planting trees which helps to mitigate climate change.
The goal of this event is to plant 250 trees! Bring your colleagues, friends, and family members and help preserve biodiversity, sustainability, conservation, and improve the air quality and human health this Earth Day!

Pizza, prizes and shovels will be provided!
This event will run rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. Please ensure your ankles are covered and you are wearing close toed shoes. If you have gardening gloves, feel free to bring them.
LOCATION: 1211 Wilson Street East. Established on a one-hectare plot beside McMaster Forest lands in west Hamilton. We have a free shuttle bus running from the McMaster Go station to the tree planting location and will make trips back and forth every 30 minutes. This tree planting event is also accessible by walking, biking, public transit (#5 or #51 bus), or car.
