Events and Outreach
The McMaster Centre for Climate Change hosts and participates in a wide range of speaking events, from academic seminars and poster sessions, to public talks and round tables. It seeks to engage the academic community as well as the broader public.
Public Seminars
The McMaster Centre for Climate Change Public Speaker Series, which is made possible through the support of RBC’s Blue Water Foundation.
Held twice each year (once per each spring and fall semester), the Public Speaker Series aims to engage with the greater Hamilton community by hosting speakers to talk about a variety of current issues related to climate change. Held at the McMaster Innovation Park, these talks are delivered in a manner accessible to all audiences. Information on upcoming talks will be posted to this site as soon as plans are confirmed at the beginning of each semester.

Academic Seminars
Within McMaster, as within any academic context, the sharing of knowledge and ideas is an integral part of “Inspiring Innovation and Discovery”. This reality cannot be overstated enough when discussing climate change, a topic that covers a wide range of academic pursuits from science and engineering, to the humanities and social sciences. As such, the McMaster Centre for Climate Change is proud to promote academic seminars on a variety of topics. Specifically meant to provide a forum for researchers and students to engage with one another, academic seminars are open to any interested faculty and students at McMaster. Please visit McMaster's School of Geography and Earth Sciences Academic Seminar's Page to learn more about the past and upcoming academic seminars.
