Ph.D student in Vegetation Ecosystem Modelling (May or September, 2018)
We have a modelling PhD student opportunity available in our group starting May or September, 2018. The main objective of this research is to further improve ecohydrological and biogeochemical processes in the Canada Land Surface Scheme - Canadian Terrestrial Ecosystem Model (CLASS-CTEM+N). CLASS-CTEM model is part of the Canadian Earth System Model (Can-ESM). This position is funded through the Southern Forests Water Future project of the Global Water Futures initiative (https://gwf.usask.ca). Selected student will have opportunities to collaborate with researchers associated with the Global Water Future Programme and Climate Research Branch, Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Canada. Past experience and knowledge in land surface schemes or vegetation ecosystem models and expertise in programing, FORTRAN, Matlab or R is desired.
